Dear Supporting Member:

We are glad that you consider the Center for Sacred Sciences to be a valuable organization, and we are grateful that you have decided to become a supporting member. The Center for Sacred Sciences is a nonprofit corporation under the laws of the State of Oregon; and an IRS tax-exempt 501(c)3 church. This means that your donations and supporting membership dues are fully tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. In addition, as a dues paying supporting member you will not be asked to contribute the full suggested donations for workshops, dream groups, and other public events the Center periodically sponsors.

Monthly dues pledged by supporting members constitute our major source of income and help us accurately plan our yearly budget. The Center's fiscal year runs from September 1 through August 31 of the following year. Every Fall the Center's board of directors reviews the financial report for the previous year, given by the Treasurer, and draws up a budget for the coming year. A summary of the previous year's financial report is published in our newsletter, which is available on our website. The full report is also available for inspection by any supporting member in good standing. To arrange for such an inspection, please see our treasurer, Jennifer Knight.

Because the Center depends on its members' financial support, fulfillment of your pledge commitment is required in order to maintain your supporting membership status. If your financial situation changes during the year and you need to revise your pledge, please inform Jennifer. You will also have an opportunity to revise your pledge every September when you receive your renewal pledge card.
